We had the honor to serve as an editor of T.H.E. during the period that Cathy Douglas or Shummie was Editor in Chief.  From September, 1998 through December, 2001 we wrote articles of general interest and enlisted the aid of long time friends to make contributions too.

Anyone who has worked with publications which require a deadline knows, the demands are great, but so are the rewards.  We have retained editorials written during this time period for your enjoyment.

• The Ridge community is a fictional account of a group of wonderful folk.
• Geocities is a record of the development, evolution and absorption of this one of a kind community which caught the imagination of ordinary people, like this writer.
• The origins of yahoo and some background which should not be lost as time progresses, because among the giants at the time, yahoo is one of the few to survive.
• Grandparents is written from you guessed it - a grandparents view point and a happy one at that.
