Small Web Sites

The Web Accessibility Toolbar in beta version is an addition to Internet Explorer and is used for code and accessibility validation, browser compatibility and various other tests to determine acceptance for the criteria. It is activated while online and viewing the nominated web site.
Firefox is our preferred browser for reviewing web sites because of its small footprint, ability to block popup windows and ad-ware. Also by adding one of the many developer tools now available, the tool bar, we have all of the "validation" tools available plus extra goodies too.
A tool bar like the ones for Internet Explorer and Firefox is also available for Mozilla at the same URL of Firefox (above).
Large Web Sites
Our local Cynthia Says and WDG Validator are used to evaluate large web sites. For web sites in excess of 500 pages our HiSoft validation tools are used.
Additional Tools Used
Our local Jaws, Lynx and Web TV viewer's are used when required.
Screen Readers and Software Information
These tools are worth installing if for no other reason than to see "what all the fuss is about" because some of the vendors offer a limited time free installation.
