Talking Hands Award And Graphics

Our Talking Hands award winning sites, upon notification that they had received two or more nominations (web site owner may make a nomination) for our award (a 50 word or less citation) and received unanimous approval by our judging panel, were asked to give us permission to list the site along with a laudation in our honoree's section, were then listed in the teaching objectives under which their site excels  and were sent the award styles for which their site qualified along with notification of the site inclusion and laudation.

The special edition gold award is available upon update to a WAI approved and accessible web site or the initial presentation. (See change below).

Annual Award Sample

During the month following the close of a quarter, the Talking Hands Award judges shall be given a ballot of all the recipients for the quarter and the site receiving the most votes will represent the collective teaching and learning. The Talking Hands Award judges shall select among the four quarterly honoree's, the honored site for the year.

If we have a tie for a quarter or the year, the award co-coordinator will cast the tie breaking vote.

Gold Edition Change: Effective June 18, 2004 the gold edition of the Talking Hands Award will be presented to honoree's whose web site creations are WAI Level A or greater and  W3C and WDG compliant (no errors or warnings), nor in the FireFox browser with Tidy inline.

The quarterly honor roll will mark a website who achieves the level one or better WCAG/WAI as gold.  However only those websites which achieve WDG/W3C too will be presented our gold edition award.

The AS! rating of 5.0+ and the second level award would both apply effective June 18, 2004.  The latest change in the criteria is December 31, 2004
